about

Invisible Realm is an album which explores my interest in shamanism, and shamanic music. Each track (with the exception of "Offering") features the incantation of a different Amerindian shaman set within an electro-acoustic soundscape. The voices are processed in various ways, sometimes totally obscured and sometimes very recognizable. Effort was taken to be respectful of the original intent of the individual chants. In the case of "Offering", the voice is actually a home-made fretless guitar, played and processed to give the instrument a vocal character.

Shamanic voices were culled from various uncredited sources. They are all of Amerindian origin.
